Here, at the hearth, I attend to the practical necessity of feeding those I love while meeting their dietary restrictions, and also to quieting my mind so to pay attention to the sensations of touch, smell, taste. This quieting allows me to reflect on the mystery and beauty of life, the love of family and friends, and the fun of past adventures.
